TruShotView is an analysis software platform that works in conjunction with TruShot. TruShotView is designed to perform data quality assurance, analysis and hole path visualisation. A large part of TruShotView is the filtering and handling of data. Duplicates as well as survey points with magnetic interference are removed. Additionally, the software also applies the local magnetic declination compensation factors to acquire azimuth to true north.
The TruSub is a measuring instrument that provides more accurate and real-time monitoring of drill parameters. The tool provides real time measure of Weight-on-Bit (Force), Torque & RPM by measuring surface forces but also real time estimate of forces at the bit. High scanning rates allow detection of events (Adding Rods, Rod Pulls, Drilling, etc.). The TruSub is a direct measurement tool and is more accurate than traditional rig gauges, alleviating some of the problems currently experienced with existing practices in diamond drilling such as inaccuracies of gauges and flow losses in pressure systems.

The TruSub Ancillary Unit is designed to operate in conjunction with the TruSub collecting additional rig operating parameters. Data collected is transmitted to the TruSub Console Program for use in analysis of the efficiency and performance of the drill rig. The ultimate goal of this data logging is to increase the efficiency of drilling.
The ROP sensor and its user interface represent a means to measure, display and record the rate of a diamond bit’s penetration during a drilling process by measuring the angular rotation of an optical shaft encoder rotated using a simple interface attached to the drill mast. The angular measurement combined with the time of the penetrating movement is displayed as the rate of penetration of the bit. GPS time of day and computer processing methods ensure that the measurement is recorded accurately and reliably.
By enabling the comparison of drill bit penetration rates to logs of previously drilled holes, drillers can confirm if a drop in the penetration rate is due to geological formation or the stratified nature of the borehole. Rate of penetration and geological comparison can be calculated automatically via a central user interface. Threshold detectors can warn operators when optimisation parameters have dropped, to inform the driller that a bit needs to be changed.
